CA2Q visits CA2W - Forestiere Gardens & Superior Dairy Company

Shirley and I along with Bob Hole, Bill & Linda Androws, Jim Smith, Susie Coles and Rich Sciacqua got up pretty early Saturday morning for a ride down to visit sister Chapter CA2W. Their meeting place is at a restaurant called Brooks Ranch just off of Hwy 99 at Clovis, Ca. Our host Chapter Directors Ross & Paty Clyborne were their typical gracious selves along with their ACD Jim Moody. We had thoughts of possibly taking their mascot with the number of folks we had but those darn "Moos" of CA1M showed up with their herd and pretty much blew us away.

After the meeting we rushed over to the Forestiere "sunken" Gardens about 15 minutes away. It's an amazing place where Baldassare Forestiere an immigrant from Sicily in the early 1900s excavated from Fresno's rock hard undersoil a beautiful home and garden. It was based on a necessity of giving himself relief from Fresno's 110 plus degree Summers. It's now a historical landmark and wonderous stop for visitors.

Our next stop was to Hanford, Ca to refresh ourselves at the Superior Dairy Company and their superb ice cream dishes. For Wingers... can their be a better or more of a reason for a ride or a stop??? It's ice cream for crying out loud!!! :-)

It was gooooood ice cream too!!!!

Video Clip of the outing
