May Gathering and After-meeting ride to Ft Bragg

Our May gathering was another fun and lively meeting. We had to keep it short as the scheduled after-meeting ride was a long distance affair. The gathering included some new folks visiting like Bob Hayes and Bill Hicks. Norm and Iris Unwin brought in their new Boss Hoss trike for the ride. Unbelievable power was certainly a way to describe that vehicle. Bill Hicks has been around Goldwings and GWRRA since near the beginning of the association. He and Susie Coles know each other from their days with CA2S. He came along on the ride with his Rune. Bob Hayes is just getting his feet wet riding with Goldwingers and only rode a short distance with the third group.

It was certainly a big crowd on this ride as we had to break it up into three groups. We started with twenty one folks on sixteen bikes on a very nice route to Fort Bragg put together by Jim Smith. Lunch was broken up into two groups; some had brought along lunch or purchased a sandwhich in the area for a picnic by the ocean. The second group had a sit down at the Brewery restaurant. All in all an excellent riding day with good friends putting in more than 400 miles with some close to 500.

I'll have a video clip put toghether and posted soon.
