June's gathering was a nicely attended occasion that included a visit by CA2J's CD Pat Riley and later by two more members of 2J Willie and Rainy.
Jacque Foster gave us a summary of the Region Rally that she and Steve along with the Howlands attended in late May. Bob Hole gave us his report of his ride to Hyder, Ak for the "Hyderseek Rally". He was accompanied on the ride up by Bob Shelton and they later met up with Mark Kratz and his buddy Merritt. Bob was kind and gave us an abbreviated report.
Our Educator Steve Foster was giving his presentation but not all of the membership were attentive. Side conversations and bill paying were taking place during this time. So much so, that Bob Hole felt compelled to "dress-down" the membership for the less than respectful acts. I was one of the guilty offenders and I would like to publicly apologize to Steve for losing touch of the moment and my manners.
Our after-meeting ride was to Atwater, Ca to visit the Castle Air Museum. The route that Jim Smith put together was through Mines Road and across to Hwy 99 on a day that turned out to be perfect motorcycle weather. We started off with two ride groups; each group having five bikes. But for some reason we started loosing bikes along the way. Hmmm... we were down to six bikes by the time we got to the museum, five by lunch time. Must've been bandito cows preying on our riders. - Alan
