The Pediatric Brain Tumor foundation charity fund raiser event "Ride for Kids " was held this year at Sonoma College in Fairfield, CA. In the past, this event was actually two for Northern California; one held in Pleasanton, CA and the other in Sacramento. Now combined and in Fairfield, the event was probably larger in total numer of motorcycles. The ride itself was also longer about an hour and a half. Shirley and I along with Bill & Linda Androws and Susie Coles rode up together to Sonoma College. Jack Fischer and Mark Trademan came in later.
The folks from CAC were in force a day after their own Rally and heavily involved as volunteers. We also met folks from 2S and a few other non-gwrra friends. Susie was asked to be an escort and gave a young patient a ride I'm sure she'll always remember. There were all kinds of motor bikes and trikes at this event and even one three wheeled vehicle that was more car than cycle. It had three wheels but had the rider enclosed in a solid cage of metal bars. However, it did have saddle bags... Wish I had taken a picture.
All in all a very nice event.
