Chapter Gathering & Ride to Bridgeport

We had a couple of visitors from down south Scott and friend Bob from CA1S Temecula. We also had John and Edie Camacho bring their daughter Angie along with grandson "JD". It was another short meeting as the ride after was going to be another long distance affair. The ride to Bridgeport north of Sacramento was nice but warm. Not really, it was hot! Still, a very nice outing to see the covered bridges. Lunch was very pleasant by the river and under a shady tree. Jacque, Lynda and Shirley walked down to the river to refresh themselves. I won't try to describe that time and leave it for you to view the video clip. The ride back was very hot with temps reaching 102 going through Grass Valley and all the way through to Davis. Shirley and I had to break off from the group as Shirley began to experience symptoms of overheat and dehydration. Fifteen minutes off the bike, shade and plenty of water and gatorade got us back on the road. Another stop near Davis made for a safer ride home. - Alan
