Last night's Christmas party was an incredibly successful Chapter event. From the number of folks attending to the variety of delicacies everyone brought and even the surprise attendance by John & Kathee Ballard. They've not been able to attend a Chapter gathering in a few years and delighted us all with their presence. Our party hosts Steve and Jacque Foster were deservingly honored with the "Good Wingnut" for their generosity and hard work of providing our wonderful venue. I would add a thank you to the folks who came the night before to help with the decorations and settings and the rest of the Christmas committee with their additions to the event.
I would also like to thank my Shirley for her hard work coming up and creating two of the games and also want to thank Linda Androws for her work in creating the bean bag toss. The games certainly added to our fun.
I will take credit or blame for the last portion of the night's game/performance/entertainment. It could certainly have been a bit smoother especially with tallying the votes, but I think it still turned out to be a lot of fun. The finalists for the grand prize who dug deep and stepped forward to entertain us were awful good sport and we certainly appreciated their efforts in the most positive way.
I don't know that I'm doing justice in my words describing the amount of fun and enjoyment we felt last night, but one thing I can say for sure is Shirley and I are very grateful for the embrace of warmth and fellowship that our CA2Q family provides.
