CA2Q at 2K's Parking Lot Practice

The folks at CA2K were very generous inviting our Chapter to join their PLP on Saturday the 8th. Knowing from experience the difficulty securing a place to hold these practices I was not about to let a great opportunity slip by our membership. We had a very good turnout and I'm certain everyone went away having picked up something new to add to their skill set. Terry Turchin (2K's Educator) and George Sieg (2K's ACD) did an outstanding job laying out a great course as well as managing the exercise. Nick Odell (2K's CD) was an outstanding host and Bill and Rene Johnson (Northern California ADD) were superb "motivators" and support extraordinaire. I wouldn't want to forget Kathy Sieg for the special effort to provide coffee and donuts for everyone.

For clarification purposes: This PLP was setup for exercising our "on bike" skills. No intent to train or actual coaching was provided.

I believe this is my fifth PLP and it never fails that I always come away with some little nugget of riding technic that I don't always realize until I've had a chance to sit down and recall the day. Sometimes it really is just seeing others on their bike that your mind will absorb and later apply in your own ride without necessarily being conscios of the new technic. But of course, nothing replaces the actual experience of riding and pushing your comfort zone. The PLP is the best place to do this. You have the support and guidance of your fellow members.

Below are a couple of YouTube links to videos we had taken of the days event. Enjoy!

Oh my... is that Stevo putting his foot down during a maneuver? Tsk, tsk, tsk.
