CA2Q’S “Unofficial” Coast Ride 8/16/2008

Towards Half Moon Bay and South on Skyline Blvd
in scattered fog……

…and breaking out into full sun & nice twisties

…and a nice rest stop at Alice’s Restaurant to admire
a few bikes and chat……

 

A couple of hitch hikers  

…and down the sunlit road to Pescadero

We had a wonderful lunch at Duarte’s Tavern.
They have an extensive menu focusing on artichoke
dishes and fresh fish.  Great artichoke soup!

After lunch, over to the coast & down Hwy 1
towards Santa Cruz.  Back into the fog again.

…fog turned to overcast

A bit of chill in the air…

So we turned back inland for more sun, twisties…

And…Ice Cream in Boulder Creek !

Headed for more twisties on Bear Creek Rd
and back to Hwy 17 leaving Los Gatos

Back to Hwy 680 almost home.  A wonderful day,
A beautiful ride, fantastic lunch with a stop
for Ice Cream.  Quite a perfect day indeed.
