July 19th After Meeting ride was a big success! Here are just a few of the post ride happy comments….
A big THANK YOU to Jim Smith for planning and leading today's after meeting ride. The almost 400 mile ride over Sonora, Monitor, and Ebbetts Passes was terrific. Anyone who missed the ride today missed some great scenery, twisty roads, and lively, fun conversation! The cool high elevation temperatures and gorgeous scenery were such a pleasure! Lunch in Walker at the Mountain View BBQ restaurant was delicious. I'm sure no one left hungry.

I'll add my huzzahs of appreciation. It was a terrific ride. Jim and Lynda did a wonderful job of planning and leading the ride. My only complaint is I had to pay for my own lunch.

Alan and I had a great time as well. Although Alan has been over Sonora before, it was my first time. I must say I should not have waited so long because the area is beautiful.
As wonderful as the first half of our trip was before the lunch break, I just couldn't imagine it could get better. I was wrong! The return trip over Ebbetts Pass was even more beautiful.

Well good!! I'm glad everyone made it home safe and
sound and that you all enjoyed the "Long Day in the
Saddle". The Sonora and Ebbits are the two most
popular and scenic routs through the Sierra, and were
seemingly designed with motorcyclist in mind.
